Gary Howey, the President of Outdoorsmen Productions LLC has been in the outdoor promotion business for over two decades. In 1980, Outdoorsmen Production LLC developed. The Outdoorsmen Magazine, a monthly publication covering the outdoors in the upper Midwest. For over 30 years the publication has been informing readers about the outdoor activities in the Midwest. Although Howey no longer publishes the Outdoorsmen, he serves as one of the Field Editors for the publication and his “Of the Outdoors” columns are available in the publication each month.
His outdoor column “Of the Outdoors” appear regional in newspapers and nationally in outdoor magazines.
Through his Outdoorsmen Radio show, which aired for seven years, Midwest outdoorsmen and women learned how to enjoy the great outdoors from the experts.
Howey is the Producer/Host of the award winning television series Outdoorsmen Adventures.
In 2010 the series began its 15th season, bringing the outdoors to over 9.5 million households throughout the upper Midwest.
Howey is one of the most highly respected outdoor communicators in the Midwest, the President of Outdoorsmen Productions LLC and an outdoor communicator with expertise in print, radio, TV and public relations.
A former tournament angler, fishing and hunting guide, Howey is also a seminar speaker and represents several outdoor related companies as a Manufactures Rep.
 As a member of two of the largest Professional outdoor writers organizations, the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA) and Association of Great Lakes Outdoor Writers (AGLOW), Howey keeps informed on what’s new in the outdoors.
